Joviah Nabwiire’s story

Joviah is an 8-year-old girl from Bweyogerere, a vibrant but economically challenged community on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda. Many families in this area struggle with unemployment and limited access to basic needs.

She lives with her mother and father, who are both currently unemployed. Joviah has one sister and one brother, and together they share a modest home filled with love and resilience.

Joviah enjoys playing tag with her friends and loves attending school. She dreams of becoming a teacher one day so she can help other children learn and build a better future for themselves.

Through sponsorship, Joviah can receive the educational support and care she needs to stay in school and work toward her dream of transforming lives through teaching — bringing hope to her family and the wider community of Bweyogerere.
